education for coaches
#1
Thank's Pike Central for the new girls coach thats what they needed. The new guy has already proved to all of us he doesn't know all the answers. But he is young and in his days he will be a good one. But lets face it these aren't his days. Hopefully he is not hard headed and will listen to some much needed common sense of the game. Well listen to the new rumor around the 15th region if you shut down #5 you win the game. Thats simple defense. The sooner he finds his bench the better off he will be. You can't play 6 and win anymore. At the end of the game a couple girls get in foul trouble, you put somebody in that haven't played all night you are beat. I don"t know his bench but a little blonde headed girl came to town and in the J.V. game she played a whole lot better than some of the varsity players. But she wasn't by her self. The big girl in the J.V. game inside had better defense than the coleman girl. Their sixth player had better game than 2 or 3 of their starters. He can go deeper on his bench 8'9'10 players he may find what he needs. I know those girls can give him some minutes, he may be surprized. But he will have a losing season without more bench play. He has two great players. He needs six or seven in the score book each game. He has some young players as ball handlers pretty good but they do make young mistakes. He got better passers on the bench. Does he looks at assists? Just don"t be hard headed listen to your assistants. If that don't work listen to peewee...................Pikeville you are next I got a book to write about you............ Belfry Belfry Belfry I know what you girls can do so do it............

I agree i think coaches in the 15th dont have enough confidence in their bench!....but what they all dont realize is that there bench will be there starters one day...how do they ever expect anyone to do good if they dont give them a chance to prove themselfs!...When they see the ppl in the game doing bad instead of talking bad about them and yelling put someone else in that will get the job done!!!.......When will they ever learn to play other ppl? Maybe they will win moe games when they decide to!

JV games are a totally different world than the Varsity game. Just because a players does some good things in a JV game doesn't mean that it will carry over to the Varsity. It is a different environment when people are in the stands and the score is on WYMT
