Last year St. X beat Male by over 50 and Trinity beat Male by more than 40.

Look at years past though, no one in the state usually keeps it close when they play either of the two big private schools, but Male usually manages to keep them close.

I didn't mean to make it sound as if Male does keep it close every year.

Male is very good. This is not X's best squad, but this was a very evenly matched contest
