When will they return to power?
#1
I have been wondering about teams like Lexington Catholic, Rockcastle County, Glasgow, Danville, Russell, Henderson County.......

What happened to them? Some of you may not not know about all of them, so I will give you this list:

2000's wins by year, overall by 2000's and win percentage

Henderson Co. 0-10 9-3 13-1 9-4 12-2 9-2 10-3 2-9 7-4 9-4 80-42 65.6%
Lex Cath 11-2 2-11 4-9 7-5 10-2 14-1 10-2 13-2 8-5 8-5 87-44 66.4%
Danville 14-1 13-2 11-3 14-1 11-4 11-2 13-2 9-3 8-4 5-7 109-29 79.0%
Glasgow 13-2 12-2 8-4 9-3 9-4 7-4 4-8 8-3 0-11 5-6 75-47 61.5%
Rockcastle Co. 13-1 14-1 13-2 9-3 8-4 11-3 11-2 6-6 8-4 5-7 98-33 74.8%
Russell 8-4 7-5 11-3 10-3 13-1 14-1 13-2 11-2 7-5 6-5 100-31 76.3%

Here are their 2010 records thus far:
Henderson County: 2-2
Lexington Catholic: 1-3
Rockcastle County: 2-1
Glasgow: 2-1
Danville: 3-1
Russell: 1-3

What has happened? It seems as if Danville has figured it out this season, but what about the others?

Will they ever return to form? Maybe not all were powerhouses but they were certainly great teams. What went wrong? What will it take to fix it?

I could see Danville competing for a championship this year and next. I think Rockcastle will be good next season but not the power they once was.

Catholic has been in their regional championship the past two years as well as playing one of the hardest schedules in the state year in and year out. They are very young this year with losses coming to some of the top teams in the state. In the next two years Catholic will we be right back up there the sophomore class is loaded and getting a lot of experience this year.

Glasgow has as much talent as anyone in class AA. The only game they lost was to a GOOD Allen Co. team last week. Danville plays a difficult non district schudule and play in a very difficult region in 2A football (Danville, Bardstown, Green Co., Monroe Co. and glasgow) which its a chance this will be the Region Somerset is going to be added to next season.

Economy has really heard Catholic. Rock has simply ran out of talent and I am not sold on their coaching. So for those 2 it could be a long time.

Rock most likely will be in a district with Knox Central the next few years and I don't see them being able to compete.

Henderson needs a new coach...

Lex. Cath.'s Domination has slowly faded since the emergence of LCA as a power house.

People have figured out the sell out on run defense that Rockcastle has. If you can throw the ball just a little and can stop Iso you're good against the Rock.

Sad, but true!
