Final
East Ridge had the ball for most of the game but failed to score on 3 different possessions inside the 10...Also 2 or 3 key turnovers for the warriors.

Yeah tough game to watch, mistakes killed us. Grundy is a good team, they have a **** good passing game. They just didn't look prepared for their passing attack to me. I think if Grundy was a running team, we would have won it.
Things are still looking great for ER though.

Didn't expect this after the high that ER was on after last week. We'll see you next week in Louisa.

that's why I didn't post until kickoff

Same story as last year. ER gets to the Red Zone then breaks down. Losing that Senior D line must have been a problem as it seems they couldn't pressure Grundy's QB. I didnt make it out to this game but I am not surprised.

I hadn't been over to Grundy's field in years, I loved it. The concession is great, and I've always rooted for them since it was a school close to me. I think I'm going to go over and watch a few more games over there.

That's really tough. Did Grundy turn any of those into scores?

East Ridge fumbled on their 1st series on the 27. Grundy scored in about 3 plays. ER takes tha ball and drives for a TD. Grundy scores a 70 yd kick off return. Later ER throws a pick 6 from about their 15. At end of first half ER drives to the 5 but cannot score. On the first series of the 2nd half Grundy throws a 50+ yard TD pass. ER controls the ball for most of 2nd half. Gets inside the 10 twice but penalties kept them from scoring. ER ran the ball well inside the tackles but Grundy had enough speed to stop the wide plays that worked so well against SV.

I think they did turn one of those into a score....One was a real back breaker though because ER was inside the 5 with under a minute to go in the first half with a chance to cut into the lead...Yet penalties prevented them from scoring and Grundy had all of the momentium going in at halftime. East Ridge fought hard in the second half but saw two more drives stall inside the 10 because of penalties.

My call from the week before looked to be dead on. After seeing what LC did to a much improved SV team, I think East Ridge will play against their first running clock of their season.

Tough loss for East Ridge. Maybe they get it rolling again next game.
