Johnson Central struggled the first half but in the second really turned it on with great team play and hard work on the defensive end. With four guys in double figures and six guys scoring in the contest it is easy to see that it was a complete team effort. Jamie McCarty played a good ballgame playing hard on defense, hitting the glass, and also scoring 15 points while getting his team involved. Rice led the eagles with 16, justin blanton come off the bench and gave the eagles a big boost with 15 and then justin murray a sophmore getting his second start of the season in the absence of jesse meek played well running the floor for the eagles and also had the unpleasant task of guarding the number one scorer in the state in antonio owens and contained him well holding him to 22 points. Congratulations to the golden eagle on a big win and good luck friday against a district opponent Magoffin Co.

im not saying anything bad but i heard this was a bad game called against BC the #23 kid had a bunch of bs calls because he was owning the JC players then after he fouled out he slammed the locker room door and the cops went into the locker room after him. then they replaced him with another black kid and he was doing pretty well to... then i heard the game was getting pretty physical when a JC player shoved him and he retaliated by pushing him down they called a T on the BC player then he was sat down by the coach then the cops went over to the bench and was up in his face yelling over this now i wasnt there but this i what ive heard and it sounds really racial by the police and officials.
can anyone verify if this is true or an exagerated story

I don't think this is true. The BC kid was the one who shoved and got a T called. The eagle player was talking to him but never shoved the BC player. I don't think the police or the officials are racial. That is trying to get trouble started but that is what you guys from MC do best. I know that starns would not tolerate that kind of actions. I just think BC got frustrated when Owens left the floor. I would like to know the bs

In the first half it looked very bad for JC. Justin Blanton came in and kept the game from being a total blowout for Boyd County scoring 10 points. They really looked flat and missed a ton of layups. In the second half I thought they they played much better as a team, and executed much better. I really thought that both Murray and Blanton dictated the flow of the game for JC though.
I will differ with your statement concerning the defensive pressure that was put on Owens. Johnson Central has no one that can even come close to stopping Owens from scoring anytime that he wants to. The fact that he missed abunch of easy shots was the thing that saved Johnson Central. Johnson Central tried 4 different people in guarding Owens. The only two players that I could see that even remotely made Owens work for anything that he got was Blanton and Whittaker. Murray and Musick were not even as much as an aggravating fly buzzing around. Not that anybody was really effective on him at all, but Blanton and Whittaker did I think get him aggravated and somewhat frustrated going down the strech. I thought that he took several bad shots and he did end up with 27 points not 22.

I know for a fact that he is the best player that Central will face all year and it was fun watching him play. Very exagerrated story.
Im not trying to start trouble i heard this and was just wanting to know for sure is that such a problem
and again like i said i wasnt there

Congrads to the Eagles on a huge win. Heard they battled back from an awful first quater. This team is getting it together at just the wrong time for me (being an SC fan), but the right time for half the people in Johnson County.
