I certainly hope Russell has fixed the QB problem from last year. Not sure why it wasn't fixed last year. Who will we see make TD's for Russell? I foresee Russell by 3 TD's. Don't know much about Russell this year, but they always have a above average team in thier district. Good Luck Devils!

It looks like they've settled on senior Patrick Cooper at the QB position. He threw the ball pretty well in the scrimmage game and he can definitely run. If they can get him in a lot of rollout run or pass scenarios, I think he'll do really well. They tried the bootleg with him from the basic wing-t set once or twice and he was just overwhelmed by defenders. They need to get him into open space to see the best results as he's not a powerful runner who is going to break a lot of tackles.
As for who is going to make the TD's for Russell this year...I think the numbers will be spread out between Cooper, Zach Thompson, Paul Spradlin, Logan Dehoff, Justin Davidson, and Luke Bailey. This isn't the type of team that Russell has had the last few years where there is going to be one feature runner all of the time ala Travis Jones last year, who comprised about 90% of the Russell offense. Maybe that's a good thing, though, as I really don't see a player for opposing defenses to key on or anything.
