Boone County tight end Trevan Brown, who will be a senior this fall, has committed to Miami University according to Boone coach Rick Thompson.
Brown, a 6-foot-4, 270-pounder, is the first Northern Kentucky football player in the class of 2011 to commit to a Division I program.
Last season he caught 10 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
Two other players in the class â Ryle quarterback Conner Hempel and Covington Catholic defensive end Troy Timmerman â have Division I scholarship offers
