This will be a home game for Shelby Valley.
What are some predicitions on this one? Once again, Valley is at a size disadvantage, but they are a quick team that can run you to death. So will size of quickness prevail?
I'm going to say Valley by 4.

Letcher Co. has size, but they have quickness also. Valley hasn't lost a game at home yet this year from what I can remember, but they only have played 3 home games, and only have 10 home games this year. I say Letcher over Valley in this one. But it is going to be a nail biter.

This game will make Valley a better team. Letcher has experience and some good players. No matter what the outcome is, Valley can learn a few things about themselves.
LCC by 10+++
Valley might be 6-6, but I commend the coach for getting a good, tough schedule. Valley has lost to Letcher (12 pts), Belfry (8), Magoffin (19), PCC (4), Russell (12), and Rowan (17). No slouches there. Besides Letcher, they also have Paintsville, Johnson Central, Magoffin, Belfry, and PCC left on the schedule. They could end up with 12 losses, but they will be much better team for it.
Valley WILL contend for the region.

You are exactly right.
Valley is the type of team that gets better every game. Everyone overlooks them when it comes to talk about the Regional tournament. What shocks me is that SV beat ER by 23 on their home floor and yet everyone still talks about how ER will win the 59th district and be up there in the Regional tournament. I guess when Valley gets to play ER in their territory they will just have to beat 'em again for people to really see that Valley will take the 59th District title again. I really believe that they will, but I don't think that ER is going to let them win by such a large margin next time they play them (by adding in a healthy Hogston).

Letcher will dominate this game just like they have man handled every one this season...Letcher is quick, big, and they play smart everything that a team to CONTEND AT STATE needs...This team is tha fav. in the 14th and WILL be a fav. in the state...

I agree with both Dork and sportswhiz, something I have seen when I have watche Valley play, they do get better with every game. And I also think Valley will take the district and contend for the Region.
But I don't think that they are going to over come Letcher in this game, at this point in the season.

If you haven't read the title of this thread, you might want to. This is about Shelby Valley and Letcher Central. Neither one of those teams has anything to do with East Ridge. Why you feel the need to get on here and bash ER, I have no idea. But if you must, make a new thread or post to a different one that actually has something to do with ER. I do believe that ER will bring their A game, the next time they meet up with Valley. Er owes them a few and if they don't watch out, then Valley will get their ass handed to them on a gold platter.

Someone is a little grumpy.. huh?
I know the title of the thread..... thanks-
I'm the one that started it..:thumb:
I wasn't bashing ER either.. I just said that I didn't understand how people still overlook SV... and I used ER as an example... because they did get beat by SV by 23 points.. but that really doesn't seem to matter.
So you were the one who overlooked the relevance of it..
I still think SV might really pull out a win tonight.. but we'll just have to see..
Oh.. and nice language by the way...
