K.C. Goodin named head coach at Doss
#1
K.C. Goodin, a point guard for Georgetown College's 1998 NAIA national championship team, has been named the boys' basketball coach at Doss.

He replaces Dwight Bransford, who went 21-59 in three seasons.

"I just hope to get things back to where they were at Doss, to get the respect back throughout Jefferson County and the state of Kentucky," said Goodin, an assistant coach at Georgetown the past four seasons.

Goodin, 33, is a 1995 graduate of LaRue County High School who played two seasons at both Carson Newman and Georgetown. He later earned his degree at Kentucky State.

After five seasons as an assistant coach at Western High, Goodin was named the head coach at the school for the 2005-06 season and posted a 14-14 record before taking the Georgetown job.
