Was glad to here on the grapevine that plans are in the making for A Leslie County VS Pineville next season. This may not be big news for the state because neither are considered perrenial powers but there are several interesting factors in common which would make it fun if you please..both teams not only sport the same school colors but have on their rosters the 1 and 2 leading scorers in the state which both will be upcoming seniors next season although hillary is a year older this will be the only matchup to my knowledge where the 2 top scorers have met with other cool happenstances is that they also both are related to one another through leslie county ties but in actuallity have never met in person. Hillary scored 809 points in 27 games averaging 30 ppg at 45.4 % shooting from the field. Pineville's chelsey Smith which also Played in 27 games shot 49% from the field and averaged 30.1 ppg shooting. To my knowledge if the deal in question does come through it may be the first time these two teams have met. Do not know if or where the above hoped for game will be played but in no doubt will be an exciting game for their loyal fans which follow both programs religously.
