West Liberty junior Corey Pelle, a Silver Grove product, went over 1,000 points scored in his career in a 91-66 win against Millersville in the final of the Main Street Bank Classic.
Pelle recorded his third straight double-double, finishing with 16 points and 12 assists, en route to becoming the 35th player in school history to eclipse 1,000 points.
Pelle had 10 points and 10 assists against California (Pa.) the previous night.
Against West Virginia State, Pelle had a career-high 40 points to go along with 10 rebounds and nine assists in a 117-116 overtime loss.
He has scored 1,009 points in his career.
