Seneca subbed with 5 mins left in the THIRD quarter. That's still a full quarter then that KCC used their first team against Seneca's 2nd team and were still down 40 points.

Also maybe KCC shot poorly because Seneca is a good defensive team? Seneca held Eastern to 57 points tonight so I think that might be a good assumption.

Here we have another poster trying to lighten the load of the young men from KCC that get on here dealling with the fact they got beaten badly. I saw on another post you called someone ignorant. I know you have the facts and figures to back up most of your statements but lighten up, hey its Christmas Time. LOL

I wasn't meaning to come off that way. If you look at a lot of my posts in this thread, I actually praise the KCC boys (Cox, Slone, Roberts, Davis, Stamper) and try to give constructive criticism.

I was simply trying to get the fans to give Seneca a little credit and not make it seem as if KCC just simply played bad. Of course they did play bad, but credit Seneca some for forcing a VERY GOOD KCC team to make uncharacteristic mistakes.

I wonder how many teams lost by 50+ in the regular season and made it to the Sweet 16? I am not saying anything bad against KCC, I am a fan, just wondering.

I agree with you once again kywldcat. I seen Knott Central against June Buchanan. That was probably their best game so far this year. The Pats shot the ball as good as you can shoot, executed on offense, played suffocating defense, made smart plays, and just played an overall great game of basketball.

In this game I know KCC shot 1-23 from behind the arc (or something to that nature), turned the ball over quite a bit, and didn't play well; but you have to give Seneca all the credit here. Simply not playing well against a team will not get you beat by 50+ points. For a team to beat you by 50+ points (whether you play well or not), has to be a great team. Scoring a 103 points in a high school game isn't something you see very often, especially on a team (KCC) that always plays great defense.

KCC may have been undermanned in this matchup against Seneca, but I'm sure Coach Fraley would tell anyone that there was no excuse to get blown out the way they did.

I'm not sure how KCC done against Shelby County (I think that was who they played: If anyone knows please post) yesterday, but Seneca beat a top three Eastern team that is one of the favorites to win the title. KCC got beat by an extremely talented Seneca team. Give them all the credit. They deserve it.

I figured the KOB staff would be the ones reporting to KHSAA. Why don't you go ahead and do it then?

Let you PCC fans do it.

Ok, Knott does not play great defense. It's def a weakness of the team, not a strength.

They played great team defense in the game I watched against JBS. What hurts KCC is the lack of size and quickness on the roster. Seneca had a big time advantage with size and athleticism and obviously exploited it.

I didnt watch the JBS game but against Hazard and Cordia they was weak defensively and give up way to many offensive boards.

I can't argue with that. I was speaking more of the guards of KCC that play tough defense. The lack of size and bulk on the inside is what hurts KCC and is, in my opinion the reason why KCC will have an extremely tough time with Perry Central and teams with taller, more athletic big men.

I apologize on not being specific.

When I look at the Title of the thread it says Seneca and KCC. Nothing about PCC. Wrong Thread! Start a new one, Stay on topic! KCC and Napier/ or KCC and PCC have had alot of great games over the years, a wonderful rivalry. This is just not the place for it.
Also, these are 17/18 year old kids--Be positive! There is no need to single out a child in a derogatory /demeaning manner. Be positive.
I have no problem with PCC, and good luck the rest of the season.
I actually think KCC's back court plays tremendous defense. They put a lot of pressure on other teams when they start pressing and trapping. They are very physical and understand the fundamentals.

Their front court has decent size but simply lacks the athleticism to rebound with teams like Seneca.

I watched the game against Shelby Co too and it was a close game throughout. If KCC would quit relying on the 3 ball and attack the rim, they would be very tough.
How can PCC fans continually argue against Stamper. He is, after all, the school's all-time leading scorer. What more does this kid have to do to prove himself to you people? I'm sure PCC doesn't even have anyone past the 1000 point mark on their roster, no offense. Both teams are good but you people don't want to give credit where credit is due.

Stewie is good.

Both sides are guilty of that on here.
