when do the all district teams come out?

IMO the Class 4A District 7 award should go to and possibly would go to Mr. Aaron Watts from McCreary Central that has been incredible on the stats IMO:
2009 season results=
Defensive Statistics: 24 solo tackles,57 assisted tackles, 1 fumble recovery 91 yards for a TD,and 2 interceptions
Offensive Statistics: 151 rushes for 1,081 yards and 15 TDs,86 pass attempts,25 completions for 471 yards passing, 4 TD passes and 3 INTs

Logan won the honor this season (2009) and Hunter won it last season (2008). Sibing rivalry at its best! Congrats to Logan on the award and to both on an awesome Senior season at AC. This seasons Seniors left a lasting impression on football at Allen Central.

In class 3a District 7, I think the senior from Russell, Travis Jones should have received district player of the year, 1472 rushing yards, 22 touchdowns, and 1980 total yards
#12
Prestonsburg's QB Michael Burchett received the honor in his district. Burchett and his team had an awesome season. Congratulations!

Caleb Watkins received the honor for District 8 2A and Steve Jewell was the coach of the year for that district. Congrats to all!

Congrats to Robbie Lucas of Somerset for winning 3A District 5 Coach of the Year. I'm not sure how Tyler Ray of Garrard County won Player of the Year for the district though. He had 581 Rushing Yards and 3 Rushing TDs, 580 Receiving Yards and 8 Receiving TDs for a team that finished 5-7. Erik Manning of Somerset has passed for 2298 Yards and 28 Touchdowns and rushed for 554 Yards and 7 Touchdowns, he also has 3 Interceptions on defense (1 for a Touchdown)--and still has 1 game to play. Ray is a good player but shouldn't have been player of the year.

Congrats Coach Lucas!!!!!!

I agree about Erik, but would bet he couldn't care less about the award!

How can a player win district player of the year when they do hardly anything against teams in there district. in 4a District 7 Aaron Watts with only 384 rushing yards in his four district games wins the District player of the year. while Cory Davenport from Bell had 577 rushing yards in his four district games, and Clark Rowe form Rockcastle had 719 rushing yards in four district games. Im not taking anything away from Mr Watts he's good kid and a great football player but district player of the year should go to who has the better games in there district. i think this award should have gone to Davenport or Rowe.

I totally agree with you ROCKSOLID69, but its just that IMO why he was chosen to win this award is basically because he was all over the stat chart with passing, rushing, scoring, tackles, fumbles and interceptions......I knew in a political way based on that reference it was going to happen, I would like to recognize Clark Rowe as a possible 2nd or 3rd team all-state candidate this year and the next 2 years, he will no doubt be a first team all-stater.
#19
Are these awards based soley on performance in district games?

Conj: Mr. watts on player of the year. He also won award in 2007 as a soph. Conj: to Coach Gay for Coach of the Year Award, also Coach has been invited to coach in the Border Bowl. Conj: and good luck.:Clap:

Mr. Watts was all over the Stat Chart a couple left out 3 KO ret for Td's and 2 punt ret for TD.

I would say you are 100% correct about that one.

Congrats to AC's Coach Hall and outstanding back Logan Crowder on coach and player of the year in 1A District 8. A great season topped off with an outstanding honor. Also a big congrats to Pburg's Coach DeRossett and qb Michael Burchett for the same honors in 2A District 8 and an awesome season. Floyd County well represented.

I really shock that Channing Fugate didn't win district player of the year, he didn't put up the #'s he put up last year but i thought he put up good enough #'s to win considering that he was hurt and out for a couple of games. He still put up 1400 yards and that kid double the attempts that Channing had, and played a lot tougher teams too.

Thats the sad thing about a player getting injured, for some reason it changes everything. I don't agree with it but it clearly affects the voting for some unknow reason???
