If You Could Pick One Coach To Go Against St. Xavier--Who Would It Be??
#1
St. Xavier is probably the strongest team in the state by far.

If you were in the AAAA State Championship against St. Xavier--who would you want on the sideslines (head coach and their own coaching staff)?

My pick is easy: Mike Yeagle and the remaining Beechwood staff. They do a good job on their initial gameplan and make great halftime adjustments.

Who would you pick?

There is no one better at making in game adjustments than the Beechwood staff, there is little doubt as to that.

I think the one thing that would prevent most is the fact that X just has that much more talent.

And a great coach.

It would take a lot, IMO, for a coach to take a less talented team in to the Pizza Box and beat the Tigers.

I'll take Trinity's coach. I'm sure by this point they are more experienced than anyone in the state about X.

Good Answer!

At this point--it may take that much.

Honestly--I think it could be done without a Pro coach (but that was a cool answer--no joke).

After John Hardin--I think that the right group of athletes could do it. I also think that, even with a talent disadvantage--you could do a little schemeing to stop St X. The talent level would have to be close--and you would need a great staff to come up with an off the wall game plan (see All The Right Moves--62 Stack Monster, 62 Stack Monster--Ready, Break!)

It will be interesting to see if Coach Beatty can come up with something to close the gap (from the earlier loss). To me--that will prove if he belongs on this list.
