IMO.. If Chancey Sisco (#72) has good enough grades and wants to play college football somewhere, he is a kid worthy of a scholly.
6'0-6'1 and legit 270lbs and a very good O-lineman. I am not saying the kid is D-I, but I think its time some of these really good Belfry lineman start getting noticed out there in the state. This kid owns people inside.

My hats off to the Pirates. They seem to be alot better than what I gave them credit for. I just want to know is the Belfry Offence that good or is the Whitley defence just not that steller.

I think the truth falls somewhere between. Belfry doesn't have their dominating ground game like in year's past, but they are still very good, very disciplined, and if you get caught looking at the play fakes they will burn you. It's not so much that Whitley's defense was horrible, I just don't think they were prepared for what they saw. Bell and Belfry may look similar, but their offenses are actually drastically different... I have a feeling that since WC played Bell last week that the coaching staff may ahve fell in this pitfall.
Bell's ground game is predicated on power, Belfry is predicated on misdirection.

Maybe Letcher Central isn't so overrated comparing their game with Belfry as to Whitley's.

Belfry played better at WC than at Letcher. Besides you can't compare common opponents, too many variables

Congrats to Belfry, they are a classy football team and coaches. Bell and Belfry are year in and year out are tops, with great coaching staffs

I guess the stat keepers at BHS had different numbers. I know the radio broadcast and WYMT had Varney with over 300 rushing, but the official stats from Belfry's own records say 292.
Not sure where the difference is?
Of course the big stat that matters is 53-23

i think i was the only bell County fan to pick belfry over whitley county. Reason i did was cause belfry has a really good coach. Two Belfry is proven powerhouse like Bell is every year and whitley County is a still upcoming "ProGram". I pretty well know my football i been covering Bell County football since 1995 and present.
Congrats to Belfry no surprise i knew you guys would win!
Colonels don't hang your head because you will only get better from these tough mountain teams it will help prepare you for your distric and maybe another meeting with the Blue-Birds of Highlands!
