No offense to Bob Schneider--but is he truly one of the best coaches in the state--or does he get recognition due to his time spent as a coach. In the not so distant past--he has had some difficult seasons.

And--NCC truly wasn't considered as a perennial 1A contender until 2000--when he finally changed the offense (or let his son take it over).

haywood coaching comes natural to these two coaches. Both have great football knowledge.

There are some great coaches on this list. Hilton, Haywond, McGlone, Matney Goldsmith among others. I think Runyon is a good football coach but great, not quite yet anyways. Remember the 04 that he team he took over from coach Lemaster's made the playoffs and returned 12 to 14 seniors with a lot of experience. IMO to be a great coach you need to have years of success instead of 1 or 2.
