Walk-on and fan favorite Landon Slone has asked for, and been given, his release from the UK basketball team. While not technically a scholarship player, Slone had to inform the school of his intentions to transfer.Slone, who played at Paintsville High School, told 27 SportsFirst that he has tried unsuccessfully to address his situation with new coach John Calipari.
