Chane Behanan of Cincinnati Aiken will be transferring and playing at Bowling Green next year. His mother and uncle will be moving there and they have already been to BGHS to see about enrolling Chane for the next school year.

For those who don't know who Chane is, he will EASILY be the best player in the class of 2011 here in KY....better than Knipp, Zollo, Fant, Stenzel, Shanklin, Abell, Kates, etc.. Warren Central's chances of getting to Rupp just went down tremendously.

Here's a preview of what Chane brings to the table for the Purples:

Strong statement. Do you have a link to back up that he is the best or is that your oppinion?
If your opinion, how many times have you seen each of these players play, where, and what games? What do you base this on?

He's rated a 96 overall on ESPN insider, so he's a pretty darn good player. 6'7 power forward.

Chane is rated the best player in Ohio for his class and is rated in the 25-50 range nationwide depending on what recruiting rankings you look at. Scout and Rivals both have him as a 4 star prospect.
Knipp, Zollo, and Fant are all good big men here in KY but none are on the same level as Chane and all would struggle mightily against him because of his size, athleticism, and physical strength. He was second team all state last year as a FRESHMAN in Ohio...He will easily be the best player in the state for the c/o 2011 here in KY and it won't even be close.
Here are some things said about him:
* Chane Behanan, 6-6, So., PF, Cincinnati Aiken â Behanan is considered one of the nationâs top prospects in the Class of 2011 and also tops that list for that year in Ohio. He earned second-team all-district honors last year after averaging 20.2 ppg. Behanan has already committed to Cincinnati.

Ohio Basketball Club beat the Boo Williams Summer League Team, 80-68, in the 15-Under Division, but the big story here was the dominance of 6'6 Frosh Chane Behanan from Cincinnati (Aiken) OH. Not only did Behanan finish with 31 points, but he almost single handedly overpowered 6'5 Soph Travis McKie from Richmond (Community) VA and the four other high touted inside players on the Boo Williams 15-Under Team. "Behanan has chiseled-like body," says Johnson. "He resembles a young Billy Walker and, if there are 10 better freshmen in the nation, I want to see them." And making the story even more interesting is the fact that Behanan was in 7th Grade a year ago, but skipped the 8th Grade and now is a only 14-year-old freshman. His early list of schools includes Indiana, Ohio State, North Carolina, UCLA, West Virginia, Memphis, Tennessee, Xavier, and Cincinnati.

It was a crowning day on Sunday for the Ohio Basketball Club's 15U Squad. Led by one of the hottest players on the AAU circuit in Chane Behanan, OBC claimed the championship over Boo Williams. The Cincinnati Aiken sophomore-to-be scored 31 points in the final.
Behanan, at 6-foot-7, is playing the four-spot right now but look for him to eventually become a wing. He may be the most talented player in Ohio right now, and will right his ticket wherever he chooses.

How much talent do the Purples have coming up to surround Behanan?

Very exciting and talented player to watch...as stated in the article, he is very comparable to Bill Walker (Rose Hill - North College Hill, OH - Kansas State - Boston Celtics)...only a little taller and physically bigger.
Scary thing about this kid is, unlike players like Stenzel and Knipp who are hold backs, this kid is actually playing UP a grade. He will be entering his junior year next year, but should only be a sophomore.
