LEXINGTON - In the span of about 18 hours Saturday and early Sunday in the All 'A' Classic state baseball tournament, Lexington Christian Academy showcased its pitching depth, while in roughly that same time span Holy Cross carved out a lasting memory

LCA senior Austin Johnson turned in the third straight outstanding start for his team and the Eagles pounded out 14 hits in defeating Holy Cross, 11-1, Sunday in the championship game at Applebee's Park.

It's the first All 'A' Classic state title in the tourney's six-year history for LCA (21-6), ranked fifth in the latest state coaches association poll. Holy Cross (11-10) was making its first appearance ever in the All 'A' state tournament. LCA, which won the Kentucky High School Athletic Association state title in 2005, played in its fourth All 'A' Class
