HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. -- Four Northern Kentucky University students faced charges Friday, accused in a series of hazing-related assaults against three students last month.

The Director of Communications for NKU, Chris Cole, said the university began investigating the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority after three young women sought treatment for their injuries on March 8. The women presented injuries ranging from a slight fracture to blistering and infection.

Cole said the victims believed they were taking part in a traditional initiation ritual in order to join the sorority. The Delta Sigma Theta national organization said it does not condone such conduct and cooperated fully with the investigation.

Hazing happens everywhere, only time its in the news is if someone get caught.
