Iroquois 42, Franklin Simpson 36: Kayla Hickman scored 16 points and Adia Mathies added nine points and nine rebounds for Iroquois (30-1), which advances to play Montgomery County in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Chastity Gooch paced Franklin Simpson (30-4) with 15 points and 16 rebounds and sent the game to overtime on a basket with 4 seconds remaining in regulation, but the Lady Wildcats ran out of gas in the extra session.

The Lady Raiders held Franklin Simpson to 31 percent shooting and forced 28 turnovers on the game.

Iroquois had its own struggles, shooting just 24 percent from the floor, but took the lead for good after making the first two baskets in overtime.

The win marked the third time Iroquois has beaten the Lady Wildcats this season.

"They took us to the limit," said Iroquois coach Al Northington.
