Talked with a few players and they said they led by double-digits the entire way. Was also told that Burchett & Tackett led the way for the Blackcats and that the entire team played good, but little defense was played in this game.

Heard #22 of PC had a nice slam also.

Dieb Gross. Yes indeed it was almost a half-court oop. Then there was a Technical called due to students in the Hawks Nest getting in the Blackcat defenders face. PC's student section never fails, one of the best around.

Congrats P'burg, you played a good game. You played a physical game and all of your shots just seem to go in. Good job. I did see something tonight that I had never witnessed before. The momentum for PCC had picked up, Dieb Gross dunked the ball, and the student section was celebrating. One of the refs called a technical on one of the students and ejected him from the gym. I did not see the student do anything that deserved this, he was simply celebrating by screaming. Someone said that he possibly got too close to the playing floor. If that was the case, give the kid a warning, even eject him from the gym if necessary. But why would you punish the team when they or the coach has no control over anyone in the stands? PC seemed to lose what little spark they had after that. Has anyone else ever seen a student in the pep section get a technical and be ejected from the game for cheering on their team? Maybe we need to start a thread on this.

If true then I would have ejected the player as well, but I don't know about a technical on the team.

There was at least 4 students in his face. But Dieb was the first to do it. It seemed more like a way to get the team pumped up. At the time PC was down by 5, then Pburg made all technical shots and just sailed from there. That Burchett kid does not miss.

Seems like it worked really well. I thought Pike Central was showing everybody else in the region what they were made of after that big three game win streak?
