she didnt play a good game , only 5 point i think , maybe coach should have went to the bench more late in game ,couple girl play well off bench but did see much time in 2nd half

Congrats KCC Perkins played well at the point guard position Good move on that one Coach!! Thought the team played fairly well. Should try to focus on working more with the big Thomas girl. She could be the best in the region if worked with. The girls played hard though and moved the ball fairly well. I can't wait to see these young girls and the upcoming younger girls in a few years. I think they will be contenders. Again WAY TO GO LADY PATS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
As for Shelby Valley I have been hearing how good the Swindell girls is and she didn't look too impressive last night. IMO there was another girl off the bench who played well in her place the first half but didn't see much if any playing time in the second half.

In alot of the games I have attended I have noticed the same thing with Coach Rowe leaving lots of talent on the bench. I think he has about 6-7 girls that he tries to rotate in and out while others are left on the bench.... even with 20-30 point leads. IMO, the only thing this does is break down the girls spirits but that is only my opinion.

Sounds like a great game, nice win for the Lady Patriots! Looks like they picked it up a little in the 4th quarter.

Coach Rowe only has about 7 girls capable of competing on the varsity level right now. Cantrell did not play last night which hurt them but congrats to the Patriots on a good game.

In my opinion our girls played to lazy, defense was not giving the extra effort, No rebounding. KCC girls really got after the ball. They wanted to win ours didn't. We have to want to win, dig deep when needed. I thought Leeza Mullins played a good game. Our girls have to react to game situations better, coach can only do so much. We have to adapt on the floor. And you if we don't Hustle we ain't winning.

This is the only way they will get the experience to play at that level and eventually that is the players he is going to have to play and it doesn't make much sense to me to wait until then and expect them to be able to handle the pressure. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Coach Rowe and think he does an excellent job with the girls, I don't want this to read like I am trashing him because I'm not!

As I recall I was at the Pikeville game and he played everyone.

The hardest place to coach is in Kentucky. When you win, it's all fine and dandy and no one says anything, but when you lose, all those Bleacher Coaches come out and make comments on what can be done better or who the coach should of played. If everyone has so much of a better plan for the team, apply for the coaching job the next time it's open and take care of business. Coaches deal with so much stuff during the season that people don't have a clue about. These people have to really love what they do to put up with all the things they have to deal with. These Coaches should be being praised for giving the time and effort to the players and their school system, not talked about like they have no idea what they are doing. Maybe it's the way the kids practice or whatever the reasons are, no one knows them but the coach, so if you have a better idea of what needs to go on with a program, don't just be a talker, do something about it. Get out there and try it yourself and you'll see it's not that easy. Keep up the hard work Coaches, some of us appreciate what you do for these kids.

With cantrell healthy they're about 3 deep on the bench, last night 2 deep with her out. There was some bright spots on perimeter defense, but down low was horrible, which i think was due to all the over the back fouls being called on Valley.Seemed to me that it made the girls play much softer on defense down low then normally.Any how they can learn from this,on the bright side KCC comes to the Valley in Feb. and maybe we can redeem ourselves.Seen some the worst passing from valley this year, last night from all the girls, just lazy, bad awareness passing. To win games you have to defend, rebound, and pass the ball well, guess thats why we left with a loss.
congrats PCC on the win.

If you guys don't want him send him to us! Pm me!!!

Looked to me as if there was a lack of hustle and effort like they were playing scared. You're not going to win many games passing the ball as poorly as SV did, especially against a team that plays a zone against you all night. no excuses for that many turnovers at least (25), probably more. Hope they get things lined out or this will be a long season.

as i recall he was still pressing in the 4th quarter with the starters ( - swindall) with a 40 pt. lead

i guess coach rowe was simply trying to give the swindell girl a little more playing time because she simply dominated pikeville the other night. she averaged around 20 points per game last year at east ridge and coach rowe knows she can do it. i suppose that is why she got the extra playing time and besides, we don't want to lose her. she is probably the key to us winning the "All A" and having a shot at the 15th region. i see a lot of talent on this team and feel that they can win both if we simply get behind swindell and let her lead us to the promise land. this is the best player we have ever gotten from east ridge.

Yeah and you have gotten sveral players now from East Ridge. It's almost like it's a feeder school. LOL Kind of like bringing a player up from the minor leagues.

and coach rowe plays who he feels is helpin the team the most urin that game..he knows what he is doin and will always do the best for the team, even if the same people do play the whole game
