Brossart Mustangs improved to 6-1 on the season, making quick work of the St. Patrick Saints in the opening round of pool play in the Bracken County Holiday Tournament, opening up a 22-7 first quarter advantage and then shutting out the Saints in the second period to amass a 42-7 halftime lead, making the second half anti-climatic.
Joey Webb led 12 Mustang scorers including a first ever basket in the varsity ranks by Junior Mick Rebholz. Webb connected on four 3-pointers, Armstrong hit one from beyond the arc, as did Justin Morscher and Travis Norton.
Stephen Mason led the Saints with 11 points.
Brossart will face Russell on Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm, and Bracken County at 8:15pm on Monday.
