Having saw Dupont Maunuel in the Fast Lane Classic and get wore out by Perry Central there is no way they should be ranked fourth and no way Lex, Catholic is number two. Elliott County is better than both . :thatsfunn

Until Elliott plays someone, you need to quit tooting their horn so much.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

This looks more like a BGR Top 26? Top 20 means Top 20. What if it was posted like this:
BGR's Boys Basketball (12-11)
1. Scott County
2. Lexington Catholic
3. Elliot County
(T) Jeffersontown
5. DuPont Maunel
6. Bryan Station
7. Ballard
(T). Paul Dunbar
9. Cark County
10. Male
11. Holmes
12. Pleasure Ridge Park
(T) Henry Clay
14. Warren Central
(T) Shelby Valley
16. Marshall County
17. Eastern
18. Mason County
(T) Hazard
20. Highlands
Others Receiving Votes: Christian County, Hopkinsville, Paducah Tighlman, Tates Creek, Madison Central.........etc.
Just a suggestion. None of your National Polls list more than what they say. Just didn't look right with 26 teams list when it is a Top 20 Poll

I agree Valley needs to be higher. But what top ten have you been looking at that includes Henry Clay?? The ranking on this site is the only one I know of that includes HC.

Having not seen many of the teams in the rankings play, I am not going to say that someone is overrated or does not belong. That story will be told after all of the holiday tournaments are done and everyone can get a better feel for where the teams stack up against each other and top out-of-state competition.
However, I do feel like Eastern is heavily underrated by most people in the state. Granted they haven't gotten into the meat of their schedule yet (J'Town, Ballard, Male, LIT...etc) and J'Town looks to be a very tough, deep team once they are at full strength. Through the early games, Eastern has shown the heart, determination and athleticism to warrant a higher position. In a little more than a month we shall know if Eastern is for real, as they will have played Ballard, J'Town and participated in the LIT.
Based upon the Courier-Journal (which may or may not be misguided), Eastern has TWO of the top 10 players in the 7th region. Which I have heard from some to be one of, if not the top region in the state this year (the 11th can hold its own). They also have arguably the best sophomore class in the state, as their freshman team went undefeated last season. To warrant that kind of notariety while being compared to others in the always stacked 7th region has to say something.
Senior guard Chris Dowe is a very underated player, and is undoubtedly prove to one of the best in the state by the end of the year. He is athletic, can finish and shoot. Delquan Thomas, only a junior, has potential to be one of the top guards in the state next year. And the sky is the limit for the soph. class. This team is long and athletic, plays tough man-to-man and has the ability to force turnovers and finish. Look out if the Eagles are on your schedule.
Just my 2 cents.
