I wrote a cron job that randomly elects a member of the day/week/hour..whatever i want..

Anyway.. A member must meet certain criteria throughout day. This includes positive reputation that day, posts, how often the user logged in that week. All the users that meet the criteria for that day are randomly selected. This makes if fair to everyone, not just someone who went on a one day posted frenzy. A person can not get awarded this more than once in 7 days..

THe cron job will elect its member will be elected everynight a midnight.

I think that this is great because it is random and doesn't show favorites of any kind or anything.

its somewhat random.. It takes ever person that meets the criteria and draws one of those. So you did meet the criteria and it chose a good one. .Congrats.:Cheerlead
