Families: A Dialogue
#1
FAMILIES:

*Make the minimum wage a living wage adequate to keep working families out of poverty;

*Provide everyone vacation and family leave;

*Provide gay and lesbian couples with the legal protections afforded to straight couples;

*Make bankruptcy and foreclosure laws protect families first, not predatory lenders.

1. Government should make every employer pay each worker at least $30,000 a year.
2. Employers should provide 30 days of paid vacation, and six months sick and family leave a year for each covered incident.
3. Gay and lesbian couples should be able to marry, adopt children, and receive 10% discounts on birkenstocks and all petroleum jelly products.
4. People should not have to pay back loans if they don't feel like it.

I'm 100% for raising the minimum wage. To atleast 12-15dollars.
2 weeks paid vaction and also full health insurance for part-time and full time employees

3. HECK NO, gays and lesbians don't deserve that. Even if you can argue that they do, there will be to much abuse of the system and its not plausible.
4. I agree, but harsher penalties for people who just aren't fiscally responsible.

Equal protection under the law... Let marriage be defined by the "church," ... that's fine. Civil rights under the Constitution cannot be accepted nor denied by the "church." They simply are.
