The Sheldon Clark - Magoffin County game scheduled for the 26th has been moved to Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock on the 27th due to not having any lights. That means the former SC player and assistant coach Chester McCoy and his Hornets will get to play the first game on the new turf:ChairHit:

Does anyone know when the new lights will be put up and ready to use?

seems like no one has any idea when the lights will be in. The Cars have a home game Oct. 3 against Rowan County so it will be interesting to see what will happen.:letsparty

They should have them in and up by the second home game everything is stating to piece together slowly but surely. Field is almost done the hash marks are being put down today and they should have their first practice on it Monday if not sooner but hey ill take a Saturday day game until they get the lights in so they will not rush and make something that looks so beautiful look like crap.

Lights are still on track, but due to an issue with the Kentucky School Board wanting another stamp on another sheet of paper....the project was put on hold for 48 hours. MORE RED TAPE FROM A GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRAT THAT GETS PAID TO PUSH PAPERS! WAY TO HOLD UP PROGRESS!

so what does mean , pushed back 48 hours. It would just be really nice to know when lights will be put up because its apparent that someone in the BOE office did not do their job. Work on the field is to completed by this coming Tuesday and blacktopping for the track is suppose to be Friday. That just leaves the lights, maybe Chris Angel could be hired to magically put up lights before October 3.:letsparty

WSIP 98.9 will be broadcasting the game live, including the pregame festivities. Game starts at 2pm.

Interesting....any thoughts, maybe we should stop the whole project and let you finish it they way you want.

Good Luck Coach McCoy. Love to see you win this one.

place the blame why there is no lights where it needs to be at that is squarely on the BOE Central Office. I'm just saying that the county should ahve taken care of the lights because at least it would have been done right.:letsparty
