I can say for sure that both Belfry and Russell tend to have droves of fans at the away games. Both groups tend to travel well.

I'd love to agree with you, but there were like 20 Belfry fans at the PCB.

Wow that is shocking. Every time I have ran onto Belfry there were tons of fans.

Maybe on the Saturday night Pike Central game! I would also say that there were probably anywhere from 100-150 Belfry fans at the Pikeville game, let alone Friday when Belfry actually played. Heck, my normal group of people had 9 people in it alone.

When Belfry played after Shelby Valley, stands were still just full of Shelby Valley people. I left because Valley wasn't playing anymore and walking out I told my girlfriend the Belfry crowd seemed kind of small.

fan support is one of the keys to victory. Russell always has a good turn out. thats why they are successful.

We was probably still at the tailgate, but we was there.

Sheldon Clark has the crazies out going to the games this year and they can make some noise.

Even the radio said the crowd for the night was 3/4 Belfry.

Prestonsburg travels very well, we could play in California and bring a decent amount of fans.

Hazard has a pretty good crowd for away games.

I agree. Hazard always has a good fan base. And Hazard has a great pep section. Waylon won't let em quit. haha

For the most part your stronger teams usually brings a stronger fan base. Obviously we at Belfry see teams away fans at their best with it being a big game. But Russell, Breathitt, PBurg are some crowds who have impressed me over the past few years.
However I will say the couple of down years Pburg had the fan base went down, which is typical.
Does any teams that maybe aren't in the top tier of teams travel well, just curious of who some of those are?

Corbin traveled very well in 2006 to Russell.

Johnson Central packed the away section at Belfry last year, and had many standing along the fence on the sideline.

Maybe the most erroneous post ever...Belfry had a very large crowd at Shelby Valley...Most of them were to the left section on the SV side, but they were scattered the whole length of the field right to the Belfry band which was on the right side of the bleachers...BTW, the band had 40 or more and i do believe most of them had red on and cheered for Belfry,ha ha...You need to get your facts straight.

Belfry, Hazard, and Johnson Central
funny how their all really good teams huh?
Pikeville is getting up there

Pburg always has fans no matter where the game is.
09-14-2008, 04:40 PM
I would have to say Hazard and Belfry.

Butler County always has a big crowd to follow them to away games.
