One more thing, why Betsy Layne why wouldnt Jenkins, South Floyd, Allen Central, or any other teams run the veer.

I have no idea what kind of personnel Betsy Layne has, but based on their past seasons, I know they tend to struggle. Why not work very hard on the fundamentals, pick your 2 or 3 best athletes and run the veer or something simple? Yes, you will still get beat up on pretty good when the other team has superior strength on the LOS, but keeping it simple and technically sound, you give yourself the best chance to win games.
