How are you gonna close a political discussion thread, you might as well not even have the forum for politics if you are gonna close the threads.

I would like to note here, that I have been closing some of the political forum's threads as of late.
Here is why:
It is NOT because I side with one person or another
It is NOT because I have some sort of agenda
It IS because they were getting out of hand with members calling each other out, "flaming," and name-calling.
When threads no longer contribute any decent discussion and it just becomes a ****ing match with name-calling, they will be closed.
A recent example would be the Fox News thread that I closed. It was not closed because I like Fox News or I'm a conservative. In fact, I range more liberal to moderate and I am a registered Democrat. I despise Fox News and despise Sean Hannity even more.
The thread was closed because the last few posts were nothing more than people being smart*****. When that happens, rather than trying to be an ******* and give an infraction I just closed the thread to keep anyone from violating any further rules.
