Hazard could win by 50+ if they want to. This is the best Hazard team since 1997 and should be no worse than 8-2 at regular season's end. "BUT" if they are 8-2, that means the Dogs are on the road in the playoffs.

Hazard should be 8-0 heading into the Pikeville game with their very weak schedule from here on out even though they may be 7-1 with a loss to Paintsville but I think Hazard is a better team than Paintsville. Pikeville could be anywhere from 7-1 to 5-3 heading into the Hazard game. Throw out the records though because I expect both teams to be undefeated in district play and this game will be for the district championship. I told QQ after the Pikeville-NCC game that Pikeville would run the table in district play but Hazard is better it seems than I first thought, but I am still sticking to my prediction. I like seeing Pikeville and Hazard play at the end of the year compared to where they used to play in the first 2 or 3 weeks of the regular season because it is going to make the season more interesting all the way up to the final weeks of the regular season. I know the Paintsville fans think that they are the best team in the district but wins over Fairview and Allen Central don't overly impress me. If the Tigers are able to beat or even play Prestonsburg close then we will know that they are no doubt for real. I expect both Pikeville and Paintsville to see a different Prestonsburg team than the one that took the field last week at Hazard. It is going to be a interesting season in the district this year but I am sticking to my prediction that Pikeville will once again run the table.
