FINAL: Pikeville 34 Corbin 0
#1
We shouldnt be deciding the district champs so soon. Sounds like to me the District may go through Pikeville once again. Their defense was impressive. They penetrated all night, forced fumbles, made several sacks and force some INTs.. Great Win for the Panthers. Way to bounce back. :?: :?:

Will Lockheart is the defensive player of the game. He had a big game try to get his stats.
#3
Chase Huffman. .Gets player of the game.
#4
Pikeville held corbin to 76 yds rushing.. on 20 carries... and 100 yards passing.. Total of 176 yards given up on the night. Pretty impressive

Chase Huffman carried 7 times for 134 yards.. 6 of 13 passing 78 yds.

I think it will come down to Hazard & Pikeville. Corbin is struggling, this is not the same Corbin team from last year that was a win away from playing Belfry for the 2004 AA Title. Congrats to Pikeville on the win.

Next weeks game vs. Prestonsburg will be a good indicator of what this Pikeville team really has. We shall see.....

Good win for Pikeville tonight. Southwestern only beat Corbin last week 16-3 then Southwestern just barely lost to Danville last nite by 3 so this is a pretty good win for the Panthers esp. on the road. They better be ready next week though because Pburg is better than Corbin. QQ the updates were awesome...felt like I was at the game.

Good win by de Panters. Happy to see a good win. Go Panters.

First off I would like to thank QQ for all the updates!! Although I'm 8 hours or so from Corbin I felt like I was there!! Thanks man!

And it looks like Pikeville is bringing it together....yes their D had a great night but the big question leading up the the season has been the new offence that they have to learn. Well sounds to me like they have it down pretty well and the misdirection is working well for the Panthers Confusedhock:

Keep up the good work guys! I hope there is someone to do updates every week since I don't think that I'll be able to get a radio stream over the internet.

Congrats Pikeville!! Tongue

In a game dominated by defense Pikeville stepped out of the Cumberland Falls Classic with a goose egg on the board.( Broke 4 way tie for fewest points allowed, old record was seven points)
7 thats right SEVEN times the Hounds entered Pikevilles redzone only to be shutdown 7 thats right SEVEN times. Good Job Panther Keep it up.

Can't wait until the Prestonsburg game..should be a good one :o
#14
this is an impressive win for pikeville sounded like thier defense was dominating! cant wait to see how they come out against pburg, you know they will be fired up after a win like that and the blackcats have got to be hungry too....smells like game of the week next week to me.....but youll have to tell me who wins i'll be at CAM baby!!! 8)

Crazy good win, impressed me.

Corbin not having Clint Cashen really hurt them. Good win for the Panthers. 8)
