winds were reported 70 miles per hour here in morehead early. It was bad.. Stuff was blowing everywhere and we lost electricity. Now i dont have any measurment devices to go out and measure wind. But I trust what the local news said.

Here in Corbin were getting it pretty good right now, and I believe it is going to get worse instead of better, because it looked like this batch was coming for us.

If any of you are ever in Prestonsburg and you see lightning way off in a distance, make a trip up on Stone Crest and watch it come in. It is awesome. You can see storms coming from miles and miles away. It's the neatest thing I have experienced. It gets a little scary when the storm gets up on you cuz the wind is so intense where you're on a hill, but it truly is amazing. I watch the weather channel last night and seen the strong line of storms coming so I decided to take a trip up on the hill. Well when I got there, lightning was dancing all around me and with radio towers around me I didn't feel too safe so I came back off. I thought it was weird how quickly the line got to us, but once I got home I checked the radar and noticed there was a pop-up severe storm that formed just before the main line got to us. So that explained it all. But you guys should try it sometime.

No? Where was it at?

Stone Crest. Lightening struck it, but luckily they only lost the 2nd floor. When you go by, look on top of the roof and you will see 2 big holes, and then theres a door on the 2nd floor in front of the house that you can see through because of the fire.
