I thought the same thing. I dont know how Johnny Martin will respond looking down his bench and seeing that kind of height. Shoot, he has over 20 feet in heights using only three players.

I wonder why he isnt gonna play. Clark Stepp wouldnt play in them also for some reason. Are they scared or something?
#38
Clark Probably doesn't wanna take a chance on getting injured.
#39
Who's the person hosting all this?
#40
The sophmores and freshmen look to be the most interesting match up to watch IMO.

why arent the three KCC players on the same team?
#46
Is there a website for this exibition?
#47
PATS2011 Wrote:why arent the three KCC players on the same team?

I think it is to prevent a team from all playing together during the all star game. Hazard's starting 5 are probably all in the mix, but are also split up.

kj52 Wrote:Is there a website for this exibition?

I haven't been able to locate a website. I believe that Ira Combs / Tri-State Sports is the organizer.
#48
The way it's drawn up is the 12th and 13th regions play against the 15th and 16th regions and they use the 14th region to help balance out the two sides.

Thats how Mr. Combs explained it to me so that's why some of knott central or hazard players are on different teams.

Makes sense

The games were 4 - (10 minute) quarters with rotations at the 5 minutes mark.

You missed the junior game by a mile Crazy Horse. The South Junior squad won easily in spite of the height of the North. 116 - 98 final score. Klay Maggard was impressive on the boards; Jones played great interior "D" on the taller opponents and had an awesome dunk; I think that Charles led all scorers with 28 (unofficial). Siedel scored well also. Amis and Strange ran the pg positions very well and the entire team played very unselfishly.

The North squad was led by Cackling, Profitt and Warren. The big guys really weren't much of a factor.

Cox was moved to the North Sophmre team team .

The North team took the size out of the picture. It wasnt the Souths teams defense. The North team shot 3's like they was going out of style. Between that and the turn overs from the guards of the North squad, they really didnt have much of a chance. When they did take it inside, they pretty much scored.

Accurate, although I do think that the South team did play decent d at times, and Jones/Campbell are used to guarding Collins and did a great job on help D when the ball went into the post.

I give Campbell some of thecredit for getting his teammates to have fun and play together.

I meant the Freshman & sophmore game, not the Junior game.

Does anyone know who won in the F/S game?

The South team won. Justice controlled the game and is a fine point guard. Matt St. John played really well in the post and Dunagin played solid. Whitaker wasn't a big factor.

For some reason Tate Cox was switched from the North to the South, otherwise the game may have been much closer. Cox/Stamper/Justice were too much offense for the South to handle. IMO, put Justice on either team and that team would have won.
