I'll root for Paintsville at the regions, then at state. If something happens, I'll root for JC in the regions, then at state. After that, I'll root for any 15th team at state.

Great win for Runyon and the Tigers.
Both teams fought hard, but the difference(besides PHS being better this year)was turnovers IMO.

Thank you for understanding lol. But JC's band does that every game not just Paintsville so it wasnt their intention to be butts just b/c its Paintsville.

How quickly we forget, remember what Paintsville did to JCHS at JCHS???? The same thing guys!

Cant argue about the game, so we argue about the bands LOL!!!!

OMG Wrote:yea the announcer was great tonight and i personally thought the jchs band was a little worse tonight than paintsville was a few weeks ago....idk maybe im wrong it just was really a bush thing to do, but its over with now it doesn't matter...good job paintsville and actually good job jchs they fought hard the first half..

I agree, the Magoffin Co. announcer was a class act!
A very genuine man. His remarks about Bill Mike were on the money and very well said!

I hope another trip to Rupp and a nice run there gives BMR a great send off.

So Paintsville already made it to Rupp?

You did see the word hope there at the front of that post, didn't you?

Don't worry about it. Trying to come into this thread and pick a fight like he does with every other thread about Paintsville. He's kinda like a bee, if you ignore it they'll go away...lol.

20/20 Wrote:What a double standard Tiger fans! Could it have possibly been a little payback for the way the Tigers "wanna be" rock band w/ speakers full blast (only way you could hear them) came into the JCHS fieldhouse and drowned out the Eagle's introduction a couple weeks ago? I don't recall any JC fans complaining on here. Oh,what short memories we have, huh? In fact, they tried to drown out JC's band the whole game.
Now, who is bush league??

Nice win Tigers! Best of luck to both teams next week!

EXCUSE ME! Before you point any fingers at least know who you are speaking about. Take a look at who posted that comment. Don't blame Paintsville for something a Magoffin County supporter posted.

Like I have said all along. Families have their little feuds, but you keep it in house. When we leave our hometown, we need to leave all that petty stuff back home and represent JC/Paintsville and the 57th with class. And that should go for BOTH TEAMS. Leave everything at home and be proud that we have TWO schools from the same little county able to compete at this level. Good Luck to both at Regions, Make us all proud.

I agree, nicely put.

Always a battle between these two teams. Congrats Tigers!

It is a shame that a only a creek separates the two schools. You'd think it would be miles and miles. The fans, players and administration see each other at the stores, church and throughout the community on a daily basis.
When the final district game comes down to these two, they both put it all on the line, no matter the crowd, or the coverage, or the scouts. The two teams just play their best against one another. In today's world that's a good thing. It at least means these young men have goals. I'd like to see both teams in the finals of the regional tournament. It happens to be Paintsville's year. Next year Central has alot of players returning. Hopefully Central will play as agressively next year in the district and regional while Paintsville is rebuilding and welcoming Coach Ratliff into the 57th district.
A great district send off to Coach Runyon, he truly deserves it. Magoffin County's Administration and Coach West are truly class acts.

I will agree with you it is one of, if not the best rivalry in kentucky. It ranks up there with St. X and Trinity only on a smaller scale. Every game these two leave it all out on the floor. Even with JC being very unmatched tonight they still put up a fight for most of the game. Congratulations Tigers!!!

JC started the game pretty strong. Went into half fired up, but Grimm's 3 offensive rebounds to start the 2nd half put the dagger in the Eagle IMO. Hard fought game. Very physical, but also the way PHS- JC games are supposed to be. Good luck to both teams and lets see an all 57th District final!

Just assuming that Landon was POY in the district, unless they had Co-POY's with he and Grimm.
