Always will be the spring time....but if you really want to catch the bass your gonna have to do some research.....whatever lake or river you fishing you want the water temp. to reach 60 degrees....this is when the fish start to spawn....

Me and one of my buddies went out on his boat Monday and we didn't catch anything. I'm taking mine out this weekend to make sure everything is ok. Then I'm going to my cabin in Cave Run next weekend. I know its early, but I've been itching to get out on the water. lol

middle of march is a good time at Cave Run.

Id say here in a couple of weeks they should really turn on and hit well in the shallow water.

Should you have access to a farm pond, these usually warm first and can produce some very good fishing.
A small spinnerbait, small cranks and a plastic worm should catch a lot of fish.
