I was looking around and I found this live journal where this guys says he found Area 51 using Google Maps.

I was just telling someone how much I loved google and ebay searches, so much useless information.

One thing I don't get is that Area 51 is no longer a secret, it's just restricted. Still neat you can get photos of ANYTHING with an internet access.

Yeah, I don't know what the big deal is, Area 51 was confirmed a long time ago. It is just kept private and restricted from the public. I'm actually very surprised that these photos are allowed. In fact, they may not be. I've seen reports and shows where airplanes have been shot down, for just flying over 51.
