In what has to be the most boring basketball game I have ever witnessed in person, the Pirates of Stone Mountain, GA slowly put away the Commodores of Perry County Central. Stone Mountain, GA only brought (9) players with them to the tournament, so to keep from getting into foul trouble, they packed it into a 2-3 zone for the majority of the night. Perry County Central was content with standing near half court running the clock. There were possessions in the game that lasted almost two minutes. The fans for the other teams and just everyone in general began shouting for them to "SHOOT THE BALL". It was one of those games where you tried not to watch because you knew you were not going to miss anything. I was disappointed in this mountain team after watching Clay County the game after and North Laurel the game before, although they did not have near the athleticism of their opponant, they never gave up trying to execute their offense or defense. Clay County and Perry County Central will hook up tonight at 5:30PM at the Scotty County High School gymnasium.
