^^^BG behind Pulaski is insane. I'm guessing a 13th region fan did this. Pulaski is a borderline top 25 team and Bell Co isn't close (yet).

Yes, every ranking is done by a different member, No way to get all the data in a short amount of time from all members to make it like a vote system. So thats why last season I did my own top 25. I ended up doing 1A and 4A. last season. So this year, I think once the season gets going, it will get closer. But also, we need to hear whys and why nots just like some other posters are doing. Any preseason poll is just a toss up but once play starts to happen and more data is there, it gets a little more helpful to see it. I appreciate the guys who are doing these rankings and giving us material. Close or not close it will be good topics for discussion so the members can say why a team should be higher or lower. Hope this gives a little of how we are doing them.

IMO group effort much better than 1 random opinion Bull. Random opinions don't improve over time like group efforts do. Just my take.

Pulaski should be really tough this year, but they've done nothing to deserve even a sniff of the top 25 in the state yet. If they pick up a convincing win against Bryan Station in week 2 then I'll say they are trending in that direction. Their in the right spot on the 5A poll at this point IMO. Maybe bump Atherton back behind them and move everyone ahead up one would be the only thing I'd change.

I think with 0 games played so far by every team, the most a team can actually do right now is return most of their really good team from last year, and curbstomp their respected scrimmage opponent to deserve a sniff.

Even if Pulaski is at 7th, there’s a huge drop after 7th. My opinion it’s more fun to climb the ladder than to get knocked off early. I like Pulaski’s chances this year

KSR poll also had them 6th in 4A. The 4A poll done by a different person on here also had them 6th. Herald Leader coaches had them 6th. I believe the courier journal did as well but I dont pay for the paywall.
Sounds like more people than not believe they are 6th.

A lot of teams have that though, so until they prove otherwise I’ll fall back onto last season’s results which would put them around 6th or 7th. I hope they do continue to climb the ladder in 5A but until I see more evidence I would have a hard time putting them above Woodford or Scott County, Atherton is debatable. Agreed on the drop off after Pulaski though based on the 5A rankings. I expect them to run the clock on Southwestern again this year.

Yep. That’s the method, last seasons results. If that’s the logic we need to put Graves Co at #6 spot, they had the 6th best record last year in 5A, and Owensboro needs to go behind them at #7, Atherton at #5, PC needs to GTFO and start at #13, Scott Co at #12
