I'm not a fan of jailing people for their thoughts or speech. I believe Comey should spend the rest of his life in prison for the crimes he has committed. For this incident, I think a visit from the Secret Service should suffice. I would hate to see Comey charged and acquitted.
If Comey had explicitly threatened to kill the president, then I would fully s support charging him with a to crime.

I don’t disagree with you about charging people for free speech, however if the Dems where to heaven forbid get back into power and Patel done something along the same lines what would their response be? While I don’t like all the law fare at all, tit for tat maybe the only way to stop it….

I just don't want to give Democrats any opportunity to be able to point to a failed attempt to jail James Comey for his sea shell stunt when Republicans have a very strong case of convicting him on much more serious crimes that will result in a long prison term.
If the Trump administration fails to nullify the autopen's pardons, then I would support charging Comey with any offense that will cost him money for lawyers and fines. He deserves to be made miserable for the rest of his life by any legal means possible.
