Just to think, that Florida team came into Rupp and played lights out... and still lost by six !!! At one time, we were playing as well as anyone in the country. Injuries just took their toll and eventually overwhelmed us.

I thought Florida and Oklahoma were a bit of a paper tiger coming into conference play. Neither had the strongest non-conference schedules (though some of the best teams they played were expected to be good). I was wrong about the Gators. They were on a nice path going into last year's NCAA Tournament and an injury derailed them. Had they had a strong finish to 2024, they'd have probably gotten more respect early.
Not saying that they are the best team in the country, but they are playing like the best team in the country right now.
