Martin County 103 Floyd Central 82 (15th Region Semi-Finals)
#1
final
#2
Parker Watts is the most athletic kid I’ve ever seen in the 15th region in my lifetime

Martin County is good. And what’s sad is that even with all the hype Watts gets, he still don’t stand out that much because his teammates are barely a step behind. They’re just dangerous all around the floor.
#4
Martin co is just really good and coach james knows how to develop his players.

Watts drives you help and he kicks to Peyton Larry Bird Davis in the corner.

They are insane

Even without Watts they might still be the best team in the region. They don’t really have a weakness.

really built well parker if defense collapse on him kicks to those shooters that are deadly for the level especially

The only weakness I’ve seen is that they can win most games so easily that they check out in the 3rd and just play around with their opponent. It’s actually wild how easy they make it look. Like tonight, they were only up 15, but to the crowd, to FC and to everyone filming, it felt like 35+.

Martin county just simply too dominant. The Lucas Howard kid will be special though.

I didn’t watch how did JC and Paintsville beat them? Off shooting nights I assume?

Timmy Dalton is the one that comes close if we are just talking last 10 years.  Watts does NBA level dunks in games.

It’s interesting how Watts wasn’t the player of the year for the 15th he is head and shoulders above everyone else.

The only good thing Lawrence has going for them is they also can run and get up in your on defense. And it’s going to be hard to replicate how well Martin County shot from 3 tonight. They made 18 3s tonight. Hard to beat anyone shooting that well

Wasn’t Timmy Dalton from WV too?

Elisha Justice won Mr Basketball and his team won a state title.

He’s a lot more dynamic than Elisha
doesn’t mean better, they are different players. Watts is an insanity level athlete.

Elisha was a better “basketball player”

Rick Pitino said Elijah was the fastest player he’s ever coached lmao weird take. He has been the most dynamic player in the region’s history.

Justice was fast.  He didn’t have near the vertical leaping ability as watts possesses.  I’d like to know what watts vertical measures out at.  I’d say about 8 inches higher than then next closest to him in the region.

The Cards keep rolling! Hard to beat a team scoring 100 a game!

Martin County is on another level right now!

Idk about this. I feel like they’re extremely good on defense when they need to be. Davis and Estep are 2 of the top 5 perimeter defenders in the region in my book, Watts is athletic enough to guard pretty much anybody he needs to, at least in short bursts, and Maynard is basically the total package that you want out of a 15th region 5- big, strong, athletic, coordinated, smart. Like I said, they don’t really have a weakness.

BCF4L said their only weakness is that they get bored blowing teams out and start playing AAU ball lol what a weakness to have…

I felt the same way they play teams that are good but maybe not as good as them so they don’t play in your face defense. Like last night they let Floyd have a lot of paint shots and even started having a dunk contest during the game.

Unlikely scenario, but if Lawrence has a good lead at the very end, I’d like to see them step back during the last 15 seconds and watch Watts get one more big dunk.
