Final from College Station.

It was Senior Night for 8 players in Aggieland, and they harnessed that energy into a really hot start. They had five players finish in double figures and got contributions from most everyone else.

Most of the stats were pretty even save Texas A&M's 41-25 rebounding edge which allowed them to overcome a lower shooting percentage.

Broome had another slow start. He went into the break with 2 and finished with 8. The Tigers also had a bad (but deserved) midway through the 2nd half that was a little costly as well considering they were able to keep it around 8-10 points for deep stretches from that point forward.

Texas A&M will finish up at LSU while Auburn hosts Alabama in their finale.

Foul was called on Auburn and one of their players got pretty animated and slammed the ball down and got hit with a T.

Amazing over the years how often a team looks like world beaters and gets a huge win over UK then is flat and craps out the very next game. Glad Auburn lost, they acted like idiots in Rupp after game and Bruce P. Necklace too.

Agree. Yeah, they acted like asses.  Like you, I am glad they lost last night , although maybe we could have benefited from an A&M loss. Just shows that even the best of teams can be brought down to size. Auburn's players seem to be a reflection of their slimy  coach. Bruce P. Necklace...fits perfect.  The only thing I would say on their behalf is that they hadn't won in Rupp in 37 damn years. So, I guess they kinda had a right to be overly jubilant.  Hell,  37 years ago , I still had a full head of hair and a healthy sperm count. Now my follicles are on life support and my semen has turned to sawdust.   GO CATS!!!

At the conclusion of the game, Buzz Williams asked students not to storm the court. They obliged. It was A&M's first ever win over a #1 ranked team, but they acted like they'd been there before.

Yeah, I was ready to be okay with Auburn winning the national championship, because I do think they have been the best team. But they are the biggest collection of whiny-ass crybabies I’ve ever seen, and it starts at the top down. Here’s hoping they have an embarrassing flame out in the tournament.

Buzz Williams is absolutely an asshole.  A rank POS.  For as long as I remember he's been an asshole. He and Pearl are two peas  in a pod. One big asshole pod. Unfortunately, they're both pretty decent coaches.

Texas A&M had been sliding some as of late, any win for this team would've been much needed, just the fact that they beat #1 was even bigger for the Aggies. Auburn will be just fine; they're still heads and shoulders above every team in the country.
