Wallace's replacement after this season? Makes sense.
Baisch did an outstanding job at Lex Cath IMO. Considering the talent drop off at the MS level the last several years, they did an excellent job developing players at the HS level. This next hire is huge for Lex Cath.

Sounds like a great opportunity for Coach Baisch to return to his alma mater. Nick was very well-liked by the players and families at Lexington Catholic, and he will be greatly missed. He will be a strong candidate to take over after Wallace's retirement, if that isn't already the plan.
The handling of the football program by the LC administration is very frustrating. There's no support from the school when it comes to funding and that is just one of the main factors that is causing the turnover rate at the head coach position.

The current principal definitely does not support the athletics… and then you have the athletic director who’s Baisch’s boss doubles up as the offensive coordinator, so just imagine how the tension during football meeting, game planning and during games. Who’s calling the shot? Cause if Coordinator wants to run a play, but Biasch wants a different play. Then? LC still has a decent program, but they need to get back in the days with Spires and Letton. Their middle school program and underclassmen were always a great under those 2 guys.

Highly, highly unlikely. The AD at Catholic has made two football hires that have stayed a combined three years. I have no idea the direction they are going to go next.

AD's coaching a sport is pretty common, not sure why that is a reason to fire him. What am I missing?

Any chance Joe Chirico would leave GRC for this position?
Best of my knowledge he isn’t a teacher so might be a good fit considering his success at a smaller school.

AD at LexCath came from STX - OC that coached Desmond Ridder

Well what is the word on this job? WHO really is a candidate... Seen on the other site some self proclaimed candidates.. .Knowing Lex. Cath they will shoot a few shots at some bigger current coaching names... but then what?

Would have to think they have formed a list of dream candidates, but they better have a list of realistic candidates. It today's coaching, those "dream hires" aren't walking through that door very often.

St. X pushed out Nurnberg after 3 years, per one of their captains. He then went to Northside GA and was released after going 5-15 in two seasons.
The AD's role and workload is definitely questionable. And so are the athletic finances! He's hard to work with, and give's zero attention to the development of their younger players. The fresh/mores wear decade old UK practice pants in games, stand around doing nothing during practice, and the coach screams the plays to the QB in games. The MS team was ran more efficiently!
The MS program will be going on 5 coaches in 5 years, which can be directly tied to the AD's actions and decisions. LC's talent pool is very strong, and includes multiple all-state MS players. I hope all the Catholic talent stays at LC, but recent history depicts another story. LC's numbers are so low the AD cut their 7th and 9th teams, and the HC left for a non-coaching St. X job, and years before expected, because he was burdened with excessive non-coaching responsibilities, including laundry, equipment management and cleaning the locker room.
Now the LC administration has formed a four member committee included the AD's and Rumpke to again choose LC's next coach. No student athlete or parent committee is involved, which is crazy because they produce ~100K for the program through fees and fundraising. I'll end with this, it is unacceptable that LC senior players felt compelled to publicly thank a coach for simply lasting longer than a year, only to learn he was leaving. This reflects a systemic problem.

I'm not sure I would go with "front runner" but definitely intriguing application.
