Really stepped it up in half number two.  Had to have that one.

Needed this win. Getting wins with Butler and Robinson out is huge. Should have won the Texas game but let that one slip away. It is hard to play without two key players. If we can get one or both back before tournament that would be good, but would love to see both back once we start tournament play. Only 5 games left in the regular season with some big ones on the way in Alabama and Auburn. But we know there is no easy game in SEC play.

Good see Chanler have the game he did.

The Mormon Mamba had himself a game:   7 / 6 / 2   . Kid's a good passer and rebounds well.

Mind numbing.

The defense really stepped up in the 2nd half. They gave up 40 points in the 1st half and 21 points in the 2nd half (a decent amount of that was in garbage time). This was the type of performance that I have really been wanting to see against average SEC teams. Put your foot on the gas and don't let up.

I liked the tweak Mark Pope used with Collin Chandler. It seems like any time he has played he has been primarily off the ball and has struggled because he isn't a great stand still shooter. Last night when he was in, he was the primary ball handler and looked much more comfortable. His ability to drive and dish gave us some great looks yesterday. And as much as I like Travis Perry, he is much better as a stand in the corner or on the wing and knock down 3-point shots then he is a distributor. Perry really struggles with the physicality of the SEC and can't really drive which in turns eliminates the drive and kick out option to Almonor, Brea, and Carr. Switching their roles plays to both of their strengths. Hope all 3 freshmen continue to grow into their roles because we have no idea what we will get out of Butler, Robinson, or Kerr.

What are you talking about, man?  I've never seen a bigger snowflake in my life. And I've seen a lot of them the last couple of days. lol  That's an awesome nickname. The Mormon Mamba was terrific last night.

Why havent they played like that all year?

I just hope they get back at full strength by postseason to give themselves a shot at a run in tournament play.

I thought you wanted to keep religion out of basketball?
Hopefully he's bringing his teammates closer to God.

The injuries this season has been terrible but has helped. It has gotten guys in situations they normally wouldn't have been in if not for this. If Butler and Robinson are back for tournament then we will really see it.

Not only was this a much-needed victory, but the way they won it was much needed. They played a decent first half although only up 1, but they really picked up the physicality on the defensive end in the 2nd half. Williams played like a man possessed, had a perfect game from the field, ft line. So glad to see how well Chandler played, he had turned into one of their best on ball defenders, just hasn't been able to find a rhythm offensively, was great to see him knock down some shots, and had a glue guy type game, solid defense, rebounding, assists, that will definitely boost his confidence.

Winding down the regular season schedule, still have winnable games against Oklahoma & LSU, but these trap games have been the ones to get us all season, then we turn around and play up to the competition when it comes to top 5 or ranked teams. Tough test Saturday at Bama who just lost. Still a ton of belief & faith in this team, even tho the injuries have piled up the last 2 months and the Freshman have stepped up in a big way, still have to get healthy.
