Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt 2/19.
#1
UK comes into this one starting over once again to try and gain some semblance of momentum, had it going until the Texas loss.

Kentucky will look to avenge the loss in Nashville a few weeks back.

So we go from can Kentucky keep the momentum rolling, to they desparately need a win.

What's everyones thoughts & predictions?

If we get Lamont and Jaxson back I look for us to win. Without Lamont I feel like we just aren’t really a team, he is for sure the most impactful player on the team along with Williams and a healthy Carr. Not forgetting Oweh it’s just teams know he isn’t necessarily a perimeter threat. With Lamont or Jaxson 72-63. Without them it could go either way with this team.

As Plant guy would say, this is a must win. They have to find a way to put this one in the win column or you could be looking at something like six of the last seven games played being L's. Things could get away from us if we lose this one.

I'll agree, gotta have this one especially with Alabama Saturday and Auburn looming in a few weeks.

This one will probably be a dogfight. Vandy nearly, and probably should have, beat full-strength Tennessee in Knoxville Saturday. I’d say if we do win, it’ll be in doubt til near the end.

Would love to have both Robinson and Butler but we must have one of them. Gotta win though even if they aren't playing. Should have beat Texas but fell apart late. Need same intensity but must finish the game. Cats by 8.

There aren't going to be any gimmes from here.

This game, at Oklahoma, and versus LSU are ones that we really need if we're going to finish .500 in SEC play. Losing to 'Dem Tigahs at home would probably hurt our metrics most. Alabama and Auburn would be great for NCAA seeding but really won't mean much in terms of conference standings. Missouri won't mean much for NCAA seeding but will mean a ton in the SEC standings. This one is actually pretty big for both conference standings and NCAA seeding.

Didn't get to watch our first match-up as closely as I'd have liked and didn't rewatch any of it, but think we can exploit Vanderbilt's lack of size with Carr back. Brea had a pretty terrible game against them the first time, but I think he breaks out of his mini-slump tomorrow. Of the three freshmen (Perry, Noah, and Chandler), we're going to need at least one to play an above-average game and another to hold their own.

I'm banking on us holding them below 35% from three on 30+ attempts and on creating more than 5 turnovers. Don't know that it will be very high scoring, but I can't see the Cats going down in Rupp unless they cough up 15+ turnovers.

Ball gets thrown down to the post, the 4 other players on offense just stand behind the 3 point line and do nothing.

Tells you all you need to know, these players are trash, this team sucks, the coach sucks, AD had to beg for any coach to take the job.

Crap defense too, wide open layup to end the half.

How about the Mormon Mamba???  Seven first half points, a couple of really nice dimes, and six big rebounds . Kid played his best game as a Cat, I thought.
