We travelled to Paintsville in flood condition to play this one. Things went ok for a bit but they pulled away after the 1 quarter. I will say that Paintsville is one of the most UNSELFISH teams that I have ever watched. They passed the ball really well and that leads to baskets. It was their senior night. They are losing 3 seniors( 1 starter and 2 that come off the bench). Which means they will be in contention for the next several years. I felt 14 did a really good job about being floor general and trying to keep us within reason. He played unselfish too. Several times I seen him pass the ball to a younger player that was open. Paintsville pressure is a problem for a lot of teams in the !5th and their size too. The Woods and Cole players were something to watch , you think that you got them figured out in the paint and then they hit you from the 3 point line. The whole team is good, even their bench. Congrats Paintsville on a big victory, We will see next year at home.

Paintsville is turning the corner full steam right now. Big production from both bigs and the guards are moving the basketball very well,

They wasn’t too far behind first half. Paintsville was the better team.Keathley done his part. The others did too. Paintsville was just better. Keathley is the same player win or lose. Scores rebounds makes his ft’s. When they win he scores big when they lose he scores big. But keep drinking your haterade

Complete embarrassment on so many levels! I understand the frustration with Keathley, but he isn't the only one to blame. The whole team, especially the seniors look as if they would rather be somewhere else, and to me that not only lies on the players, it's on the coach as well. No discipline, no intensity, not much of anything from the coaching staff. They might win one more game this year, and it will be another first round district loss. Disappointing to say the least! Hail Blackcats!

I think it's a terrible idea to blame this teams failures on the kid who plays harder and works the hardest out of everybody involved with that program. I think that's a good way to get him to start looking for somewhere else to play basketball next year. He's a blackcat and I hope he stays a blackcat! I value him tremendously, both as a young man and as a basketball player! He could be the cornerstone to the rebuild next year and help us compete for a district championship again, if he finally gets coached up and utilized properly. I don't think the Blackcats were really all that short on size and talent this year, at least not so short as to lose every single district game in a weak district. Heard alot of people around Pburg claim that that was the problem with this team, lack of size, lack of depth, lack of talent. I don't think so. I think the problem with this team is that we were woefully short on energy, leadership and accountability, at all levels, and I dang sure wouldn't blame all those shortcomings on the sophomore kid who shows up and works his butt off every single day! The kid who every time you see him always has a basketball in his hands trying to get better every. single. flippin. day. You can build a winning culture around fire and passion and the desire to be great like that. We should not squander and waste a shooting star like we have with him, because they don't come around very often. Keep working, Keithley! Keep getting better! We see you! Hopefully we can do better for you moving forward!

Outsider looking in as far as Pburg goes. I have watched them a few times on live feeds. A couple of those games were during that win streak they had earlier in the season. I must say, they are 10x better when they play as a TEAM. That’s on the coach. If he just lets one player control everything on the floor and try to do it all himself, that’s on the coach. I can see why the other players look like they’d rather be somewhere else instead of playing a game lol. Me personally, I wouldn’t want to be part of that team either.

I've read several times how it looks like the other players want to be somewhere else, if that's the case why bother going through the motions?
Harold Tackett was a bad hire. Its no secret I think Brandon Gearheart or Justin Allen should be the head coach now. Prestonsburg botched things big time in letting those two walk.

Hail Blackcats! Not that it’s any excuse, but if I’m not mistaking every senior on the team has played 5 years there and have had 4 different coaches. I couldn’t imagine that would make you want to play. Rough highschool career, and definitely a rough senior year. Not that Pburg looks like an enjoyable team to be on anyway

If you listen to the folks at Prestonsburg, me and Kaden are the problem anyway. Lucky for them they don’t have to worry about us anymore.

Thats long been a problem with Prestonsburg. Lot of loud mouth know it all, know nothings. Kaden busts his rear each game and you won't find a more dedicated person than you as far as wanting Prestonsburg athletics to succeed.

I believe Prestonsburg has the talent to compete in each game, if handled correctly. Not doubting their coach or talking down on them. But looks like he has lost control. I think Harold is a great guy and a wonderful coach. But in that profession, timing is everything. I think he's in a no-win situation. I would expect him to step down after this year. Getting some loyal, young blood at the helm could really kick start their rebuild and make them competitive within the next 2 years. Slone, Shutts and Keathley with some solid role players could compete in games next year.
