Here is more outrageous spending for the BGR liberals to defend. Spending FEMA funds to house illegal aliens in luxury hotels began under the Biden-Harris regime. It is going to take time to clean up the mess that Biden's communist handlers created, but the cleanup will continue, despite liberals' howling.

Musks Says FEMA Spent $60M Housing Illegal Immigrants In ‘Luxury Hotels’ Last Week

Elon Musk said Monday that his “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) team discovered that FEMA spent nearly $60 million to house illegal immigrants in “luxury” New York City hotels last week.

In response, acting FEMA Director Cameron Hamilton said the payments had been suspended, and the employees who authorized them would be disciplined.

“The [DOGE] team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants,” Musk posted on X early Monday morning. “Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order.”

“That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals! A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds,” Musk added.

Yes, Trump did say what you quoted, but your out of context quote is misleading, as all of your posts are. Trump was describing how liberals spread propaganda.

Congress appropriated this money in 2024 to cover expenses that the City occurred for housing, food, security, etc. in 2023 and 2024 for migrants. If anyone is to be blamed, it;s not actually FEMA, but Congress.

IF anyone is to be blamed? There is no question that somebody is to blame and those somebody's have names. However, the truth is nobody voted for many, if not most, of the line item expenditures made by USAID. Unelected bureaucrats made those decisions. 

That is the reason for the huge continuing resolutions and members of Congress given too little time to read them before voting. Trump is trying to change the process and liberals are squealing like stuck pigs because somebody is finally taking time to examine the books.

Remember when the Biden Press Secretary said that FEMA was not spending money on housing for illegal aliens, which could have been relieving the suffering of hurricane victims in North Carolina? She needs to be hauled in front of the House Oversight Committee and asked under oath why she lied and if she was repeating a lie that someone in the administration lied to her, the name of that person. If she was targeted with all the lies that she told, then each of the people in the chain of the lies needs to be subpoenaed and placed under oath. 

It is well past time to hold lying bureaucrats and elected officials of our federal government accountable.

Now that Republicans are in charge of the federal government, Congress needs to make examples of federal agencies that refuse to allow Congress to carry out their oversight responsibilities. Democrats covering up crimes of Democrats for the past four years was wrong and it would be wrong for Republicans to tolerate similar misbehavior by Republicans. Let's make lying under oath a crime again.
