They were also the 3rd ranked team in WV as well. That was a good win. Did Neel play? I heard at the first of the week he had won his appeal but have not been able to confirm anything.

He played JV. He has not played in a varsity game yet. KHSAA has not ruled on it.

Ashland ain't winning state.

Ashland is definitely not the best team in the state. Not sure what significance that has in this thread?? It was a good win in a tough stretch, that's it. A win against a top team in another state is a good thing, and, depending on which pole you look at, possibly the best team in their state. That's good for the state of basketball, both in Ashland and in Kentucky. That's it. No one said anything about a state championship or remotely implied it. Stay in your lane.

That's correct.  Good win for Ashland, though.
